Global ID Marketing Signs Multi Million Dollar Distribution Agreement with US Tech Company

Richard Fry managing Director of Global ID Marketing based in Mid Sussex England, announces today that he signed an agreement with Syneroid Technology Corp to supply the Micro-ID™ brand of microchips for the North American market.

Having been in the RFID market for over 30 years Fry says “this has been an ambition of mine for many years to find a partner who will use RFID microchips in the most effective way to help identify lost or stray pets to help reunite them with their owners. There are too many small databases which are just not providing a comprehensive single point of access to identify and re-unite a lost pet with its owner”

Tom Ickovic says that “combining our unique collar tag system with the Micro-ID™ microchip gives the GPC Smart® tag a totally comprehensive protection against loss for pets. GPC Smart® is the US’s first wireless communication platform dedicated to pets and public safety for use by first responders”.

GPC Smart® is a unified system that allows first responders to securely access and share animal information on FirstNet.

Emergencies come in many forms: fires, hurricanes, earthquakes, tornadoes, floods, violent storms, and even terrorism. Leaving pets out of evacuation plans can put pets, pet owners, and first responders in danger. When it comes to emergencies there hasn’t been an effective solution to help first responders manage animals until now.

There are 900 million dogs in the world of which about 10% are in the US and a further 10% in the EU. Less than 10% of dogs in the US are microchipped which means there are around 80 million which would benefit from having a microchip fitted. Cats are even less likely to be microchipped with only 2% of the 75 million chipped in the US. In Europe some countries such as Belgium & France it is now a legal requirement with the UK bringing a new law in 2022 for the microchipping of cats.

Global ID will be launching the European version of the GPC Smart® tag later in 2022. The system will operate in 135 countries in the world,
